Summary of Training
This teacher training offers a comprehensive foundation in yoga practice, education, and professional development. You'll study asana, pranayama, meditation, chanting, and subtle body concepts, grounded in historical context and lineage-based teachings, with a strong emphasis on safe sequencing, anatomical awareness, and adaptability for real bodies in real classrooms.
You'll gain a clear, working understanding of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics, including how yoga affects the nervous system, so you can teach with confidence and care. The program also explores yoga history, philosophy, and ethics through foundational texts, supporting self-reflection, equity, and ethical responsibility in alignment with Yoga Alliance standards.
Professional training is woven throughout, with a focus on teaching methodology, intelligent cueing, thoughtful sequencing, class management, mentorship, and supervised teaching practice. In addition, trainees complete specialized courses designed to expand both skill set and teaching versatility, including how to skillfully teach Power Flow, how to understand and apply the science of Ayurveda, hands-on assisting principles to support recovery, mobility, intelligent class design, and safe, effective physical support in class, and foundational myofascial release techniques to support recovery, mobility, and intelligent class design.
You'll also receive guidance on professionalism, continuing education, and the practical realities of teaching yoga with confidence and integrity.

Taking a few power flow classes ahead of time is encouraged so you have a clear understanding of the foundational style and pace of the training. Students coming from other styles are absolutely welcome and will be supported as they adapt throughout the program.

Yes. This training is heavily focused on the actual teaching of a yoga class, specifically Power Flow. You’ll have multiple opportunities to practice teaching in a supportive environment, both in small groups with peers and in front of the full group of trainees. These experiences are designed to build confidence, refine your voice, and develop the skills needed to lead a well-structured, effective class. No prior teaching experience is required, this training is designed to meet you where you are and support your growth step by step.
-
Not necessarily. Power Flow and Deep Flow simply emphasize different qualities. Power Flow tends to move at a more consistent, energized pace with a focus on strength, transitions, and breath-driven movement. Deep Flow is typically slower and more introspective, with longer holds and a focus on mobility and release. Both can be physically and mentally challenging in different ways. It’s less about difficulty, and more about pace, energy, and intention.
