TEACHING BACKGROUND:
I have been teaching yoga for 10 years.
I teach Somatic Yoga, Vinyasa, Hatha, and fascia-informed movement.
I am a Certified Yoga Therapist with advanced training in somatic and nervous system–aware approaches.
I have no additional professional background outside of yoga to note.
WHAT DO YOU HOPE TRAINEES GAIN FROM YOUR PORTION OF THE TRAINING?
From my portion of the training, I hope trainees gain a deep respect for the power of breath and its role in self-regulation, embodiment, and teaching. I aim to support trainees in understanding yoga as both a personal practice and a professional path, offering clarity around career options, professionalism, ethical responsibility, and continued education.
Trainees will be encouraged to find their authentic voice, develop thoughtful class and workshop offerings, cultivate healthy boundaries, and hold space for others with integrity and presence.
DESCRIBE YOUR TEACHING STYLE:
My teaching style emphasizes the container itself, the pace, presence, and safety of the space being held. Classes integrate breath, somatic awareness, and embodied flow, inviting students out of the thinking mind and into embodied felt presence experience. Each class is unique, responsive, and grounded in listening to the body rather than performing shapes.
WHAT DO YOU BRING TO THE GRASSROOTS YOGA COMMUNITY?
I bring a grounded and supportive presence, a deep curiosity about the human experience, and a listening ear. My intention is to offer steady mentorship, embodied leadership, and support for healing when it is welcomed and appropriate.
A LITTLE MORE ABOUT YOU:
I am a plant-loving Canadian with a deep appreciation for nature, growth, and tending what is alive.
