TEACHING BACKGROUND:
I have been teaching yoga for 10 years. I primarily teach Power Flow, Yoga Sculpt, and Yin.
I hold a BA in Recreation Systems Management and Hospitality and an AA in Health & Wellness, and I am Reiki I certified. In addition to my yoga experience, I bring 25 years of professional experience in hospitality and customer service, with consistent advancement into lead and supervisory roles. My background focuses on team training and operational leadership in both corporate and small business settings.
WHAT DO YOU HOPE TRAINEES GAIN FROM YOUR PORTION OF THE TRAINING?
I hope trainees leave my portion of the training with a deeper sense of ownership, not just of sequencing, but of their presence, standards, and responsibility as leaders. I believe teaching yoga requires preparation, integrity, emotional intelligence, and consistency. My goal is for trainees to understand that yoga is not a costume or identity, but a disciplined, evolving practice and way of life that can live fully within modern reality.
DESCRIBE YOUR TEACHING STYLE:
My teaching style is rooted in creativity, challenge, curiosity, empowerment, strong theming, and community connection. I strive to create classes that push students to grow while feeling supported and inspired.
WHAT DO YOU BRING TO THE GRASSROOTS YOGA COMMUNITY?
I bring disciplined leadership and high standards that elevate the Grassroots Yoga community, along with a grounded, modern approach to living yoga that honors its roots while integrating it into real life. I am deeply committed to growing people and consistently challenge and develop my team beyond their comfort zones. This creates a ripple effect that strengthens our teachers, our students, and the culture of our studio as a whole.
A LITTLE MORE ABOUT YOU:
When I’m not at the studio, I’m with my boys, Wyatt (born 2020) and Jace (born 2023), and my husband, Jesse. We’ve been married for 10 years and together for 20. As a family, we enjoy everything from rugged camping to glamping, hiking and being outdoors, to lounging on the couch and binge-watching shows and movies. Our favorite places to travel together are Disneyland, Maui, Palm Springs, and Mammoth.
